The habit of reading

I’m going to deviate a little from the subject of entrepreneurship because I discovered a habit that I never thought I would like so much, if I’m talking about the habit of reading.

Reading can help us improve our sense of comprehension, our vocabulary and reduce stress. When we practice this habit, it can help us to take a break from social networking.

Benefits of reading:

  • Compression
  • Vocabulary
  • Reduces stress
  • You create a healthy routine
  • Concentration

How to create the habit of reading?

  • Make it a priority.
  • Set a time to read every day, even if it’s 20 minutes or 3 to 4 pages.
  • Find books of your interest.
  • If you have nothing to do at the moment, it’s a good sign to read.
  • Public transportation is good for reading, if I tell you that you will focus so much on reading that you will get to places fast (it has happened to me).
  • Avoid distractions, turn off your cell phone or put it on silent.
  • Read aloud to retain information.
  • Joining a reading group will give you the opportunity to read books together, discuss them and recommend new ones.

Since I started reading 1-2 books a month, I have been able to create other habits that I do in my day to day life. Reading has a positive impact on our lives. If you feel burdened with work, clients or situations it may prove to be a calming moment.
