Being Informal Is Formal

You will say that this title is rhetorical, but if we look at it from another point of view, it makes sense and I will explain it below. We are so used to thinking that having big companies, fancy cars, wearing the best brand name clothes or having the most extensive contact list in the industry is a goal achieved and this is not always the case.

Times have changed and formats are no longer the same. We have dedicated ourselves to comply with all the norms of society in order to be accepted, that we forget the most important one, to accept ourselves.

What do I mean by informal is formal?

We are not obliged to follow the times and formats, which we do not have the ability at this time to comply with, whether due to economic, physical, emotional or other situations.

We can look at the example of large business owners such as Bill Gates and Elon Musk. His clothes have always left something to talk about. They are not always wearing the latest collector’s item, but are looking for an outfit that is durable and that they can feel comfortable in. Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s not that you show up to a meeting in your nightgowns and flip-flops, but that you understand that you don’t need the most expensive, the latest collector’s item or the most elaborate vocabulary to be formal.
